Books

Hey Everyone!!!!!

So I was just writing because I am starting to build my classroom library for my future classroom. I was wondering if any of you decide to get rid of any children’s books if you wouldn’t mind offering them to me. Also, if you know of anyone else getting rid of books if you could pass my info on to them. That would be fabulous too. Or if know any teachers that might be retiring or deciding to no longer teach that would be an amazing contact for me.

My certification will be Early Education through sixth grade. Any books would be helpful. The condition does not matter to me. Obviously use your best judgment, but even if the book has a few rips I can repair that.

Thank you all so much!! :)

DIVAS

So I was watching Divas Live on VH1 tonight and heard this song and thought it was really good. Thought I'd share. I hope the next generation of girls grow up thinking this way.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHXEE7Pi6iQ

Lyrics:
Sometimes I shave my legs and sometimes I don't
Sometimes I comb my hair and sometimes I won't
Dependin' on how the wind blows, I might even paint my toes
It really just depends on whatever feels good in my soul
[chorus]
I'm not the average girl from your video
And I ain't built like a supermodel
But I've learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queen
I'm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I'm wearing I will always be
India.Arie
When I look in the mirror, the only one there is me
Every freckle on my face is where it's supposed to be
And I know my Creator didn't make no mistakes on me
My feet, my thighs, my lips, my eyes, I'm loving what I see
[chorus]
Am I less of a lady if I don't wear panty hose
My mama said, "A lady ain't what she wears, but what she knows"
But I've drawn the conclusion, it's all an illusion
Confusion's the name of the game
A misconception, a vast deception
Something's got to change
Don't be offended, this is all my opinion
Ain't nothing that I'm saying law
This is a true confession of a life learned lesson
I was sent here to share with y'all
So get in where you fit, and go on and shine
Clear your mind, now's the time
Put your salt on the shelf
Go on and love yourself
Cause everything is gonna be alright
[chorus]
Keep your fancy drinks and your expensive minks
I don't need that to have a good time
Keep your expensive cars and your caviar
All I need is my guitar
Keep your Cristal and your pistol
I'd rather have a pretty piece of crystal
Don't need your silicone, I prefer my own
What God gave me is just fine
[chorus]

The New Edition

So here is the new edition to our family. His name is Chaz! He just turned a year old. He is so adorable and sweet. This is him with in the first hour of being home. He carried around his food bowl everywhere he went. Speaking of everywhere, he has a big attachment to me. He follows me everywhere I go. He cries at the door when I leave. It is crazy. He's so sweet though. He is just like a little kid. We are in the middle of trying to house train him right now. Surprisingly enough he is catching on very fast. More pictures and stories to come I'm sure.

Here is one more pic of when him and Amy when we first brought him home.
